[INFO] MTV K Poll: Super Junior’s Leeteuk voted as The Best K-Pop Leader!

The fans have spoken!

MTV K wrote about the top 10 K-Pop leaders last week with 2NE1′s CL coming in at 10th place and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon coming in first. Super Junior’s Leeteuk was actually at number 5 and TVXQ’s Yunho at number 3 but ELFs and Casseopia brought them up to 1 and 2 in the poll with well over 800,000 votes in all.

The final results? Congrats to Leeteuk who’s the fan-voted top K-Pop leader!

Super Junior’s Donghae was chosen as the sexiest Korean male on a survey held by an Argentinian website, “Listas W.”

SBS to take 20 idols to Thailand for Lunar New Years special

Twenty idols will be heading over to Pattaya, Thailand to celebrate the Lunar New Year with an SBS special episode.

The show will be hosted by MC Kim Jae Dong and will feature an ‘X-Man’ and ‘Love Letter’-like format.  Idols participating include SS501’s Park Jung Min, KARA, 4minute, T-ara, After School, SECRET, 2AM, 2PM, CNBLUE, FT Island, Super Junior, SISTAR and others.

They’ll be spending three days starting January 17th in Thailand, and representatives have revealed that there is a high chance the program will focus on pairing the idols up for a fun night.

SHINee is chosen as the Best K Pop Band of 2010 by Peruvian Netizens

SHINee has been chosen by online users of RPP (Radio Programas del Peru one of the most important news sources in Peru) as the Best K Pop Band of 2010. They competed among bands as Super Junior and JYJ.

The SHINee boys got the first place with 42970 points, the second place was to SS501 with 37740 points, followed by JYJ with 24500 points.

The 4th place was for Super Junior with 23710 points, and finally MBLAQ completes the Top 5 with 22260 points.

The 6th place was for CN Blue with 19400 points, followed closely by FT Island with 18760 points. The last three places went to 2PM (18280), BEAST (9990) and Big Bang (9620).

SHINee is a south korean boyband who made their debut in 2008 under SM Entertainment. Its members are Onew (Lee Jin Ki), Jonghyun, Key, Minho and Taemin. Among their big successes are Juliette, Ai.Mi.Go and Lucifer.

SM artists dominate music sales in Taiwan

SM Entertainment is dominating Taiwan’s music industry.

According to a Taiwanese music site’s album sales ranking revealed through its Week 29′s ‘Korean-Japanese Music Chart’, Super Junior’s ‘Bonamana’ took the no.1 spot with 57,000 copies. Wonder Girls’ ‘Taiwan Special Edition’ came in 2nd with sales of 50,000 copies, SBS drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ OST secured the 3rd spot with 40,000 copies, while SNSD’s ‘Oh!’ which recorded sales of 37,000 copies grabbed the no.4 spot, followed by SHINee’s ‘Lucifer’ with 30,000 copies.
The fact that SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee and TVXQ, who are artistes under SM Entertainment, managed to conquer the top 5 spots in terms of album sales in Taiwan has proven that SM artists are enjoying massive popularity in the island republic.
